Student Success Resources

  • Peer2Peer Tutoring – Free peer tutoring to help students learn new ways to find success in challenging courses, and provide useful, immediate feedback concerning their progress. All tutors have completed a 10-hour training program, developed in accordance with the requirements of the College Reading and Learning Association certification program.
  • TCU Pro Skills– A self-paced program that utilizes a growing, custom library of online learning opportunities designed with TCU students in mind. Focusing on practical skills that connect in-classroom learning to real-world application, TCU Pro Skills spans a broad range of topics that increase success at every stage, in any major, for every post-grad plan.
  • TCU Skills Hub-Research-based study skills, time management, organization and prioritization through infographics and shorts- all 2 min or less!
  • TCU Student Support Services (for those who qualify)  www.trio.tcu.edu/student-support-services/
  • Student Success Coaching – Student Success Coaching is an opportunity for students to benefit from one-on-one success coaching within a solution-focused model. Coaches will assist students with identifying challenges, connecting with resources, creating action plans, and providing referrals to campus services and opportunities resulting in an increase in student persistence and success at TCU.
  • Access & Accommodation– Do you qualify for accommodations for equitable learning and living opportunities? Visit this website to get started.
  • William L. Adams Center for Writing– In-person and virtual appointments, online submission, and resources.
  • Math Clinic– Free drop-in tutoring for undergraduates taking math classes, no appointment is needed
  • Veterans Resource Center– located in Jarvis 224, 227, 228. Includes a multi-purpose lounge, a study room with 3 work stations, a small group meeting room, and lockers. The VRC features many amenities to support veteran student success including supplies for success, a place to prep and enjoy a meal (fridge, microwave, supplies), coffee, study and lounge space, tv monitors for study, whiteboards, white noise machines, noise cancelling headphones, etc.
  • Transfer Connection Space– located in Molly Reid Hall (map to 2855 W Bowie), access by TCU ID (must have newer proximity ID) for transfers (including vets), includes multi-purpose lounge space with several options for individual work stations, and amenities to support transfer student success including supplies for success, a place to prep and enjoy a meal (fridge, microwave, supplies), coffee, study and lounge space, tv monitor for study, whiteboards, etc.
  • McNair Scholars Program graduate school preparation- application based and possibly some opportunities open to all, please see website
